PORTAGE, WIS. (June 27, 12:30 p.m. ET) — Custom thermoformer TriEnda LLC has been sold, and the company’s employees are applying for jobs with the new owner. The change affected about 200 employees who were informed June 23 that they had been terminated and would have to attend a mandatory June 27 meeting to reapply for their jobs.
In a June 23 letter to employees, President Curt Zamec said an entity known as Spara would be the new owner of Portage, Wis.-based TriEnda.
That entity could be Spara LLC, a Lexington, Ky.-based sister company to Revstone Industries LLC. Officials at that company did not return calls or email seeking comment, but the company notes on its website that it has a new logistics group with a focus on lightweight pallet tooling and manufacturing.
