ORLANDO, Fla. – July 26, 2010 – Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS Company, LLC), operator of the world’s first pallet rental service providing shippers and receivers with all-plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, announced today that it is completing its new Sales and Innovation Center in Bentonville, AR, a facility that will showcase the company’s industry-leading solutions and serve as the center of its ongoing research and development initiatives. In addition, the company announced that it has completed construction of its new Global Customer Support and Logistics Center in Orlando, FL, consolidating all of its customer service and logistics personnel in a state-of-the-art facility designed to ensure continued best-in-class service.
“Our business has grown rapidly over the past four years, and so have we,” said Bob Moore, Chairman and CEO of iGPS. “We are making these significant investments because we know that the supply chain demands continuous improvement and our customers expect us to be in the forefront of these changes. “Consolidating all of our customer support and logistics personnel in one dedicated location will yield tremendous efficiencies for us and our customers,” said Rex Lowe, President of iGPS. “The Global Customer Support and Logistics Center, part of our expanded Orlando headquarters, has been designed from the ground up to provide all the tools needed to deliver world-class service.”
In just four years of operation, iGPS has revolutionized the way goods are being shipped throughout the North American supply chain. Its 100 percent recyclable pallets are 30 percent lighter than pallets made of wood and are vastly better for the environment. Unlike wood pallets, iGPS pallets do not absorb fluids that can cross-contaminate food, and because they cannot harbor wood-boring insects, iGPS pallets never require treatment with toxic pesticides or fungicides. Thanks to embedded RFID tags, shippers and receivers can track shipments throughout the supply chain.
iGPS operates the world’s first pallet rental service providing shippers and receivers with all-plastic pallets with embedded RFID tags. iGPS’ state-of-the-art pallets are 30 percent lighter than wood, which saves on transport costs and helps reduce greenhouse gases. iGPS pallets are also more hygienic than wood, easier to handle and, because they eliminate protruding nails and splinters, reduce workplace injuries and damaged equipment. Embedded RFID tags enable shippers and receivers to track and trace shipments, and iGPS pallets are 100 percent recyclable. Launched in March 2006, the company has created nearly 2,000 new green jobs in the U.S. and is led by pallet and supply chain veterans with decades of experience. iGPS (www.igps.net) is headquartered in Orlando, FL and has offices in Bentonville, AR.
